Location

The Oxford Conference 2008 will take place in the historic Examination Schools of the University of Oxford, UK.

Located in the heart of the medieval city centre of Oxford, the Examination Schools building was built in 1882 specifically for the holding of examinations and lectures. The architect was Sir Thomas Jackson Bart. R.A. and this building, considered by many to be his masterpiece, brought him from obscurity to prominence in architecture.

Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires, is famous the world over for its ancient University. Today, Oxford is a bustling cosmopolitan city with a mix of historic and modern buildings and plenty for the tourist to appreciate - from visiting the historic colleges and museums to enjoying the wealth of culture and restaurants on offer.

Oxford is centrally located, with excellent motorway links and within easy access of several international airports, with very frequent connections by bus or train to London and other parts of the country.
